Found a Dog

When you find a dog there are several steps you can take to find the owner. Look for identification, which may be on the inside of a collar or harness.

  • Take to a vet, Petsmart or an animal shelter to have the dog scanned for a chip. Make sure they scan the entire body as chip may migrate. If a chip is found, go to https://www.aaha.org/ and enter the chip number to find the registry to log that you found the pet.

  • Post the dog on lost and found sites. Below is a list of the most frequently used in the Pensacola area. If you do not use Facebook, please ask a relative, neighbor or friend to post for you.

Open Your Heart and Home: Foster a Dog in Need Today!

Fosters can be a huge part of a dogs transition to their forever home. Dogs benefit greatly from being in a home environment where they can learn to live like a pet again.  Some of our dogs will recover from their stress, illness or injury better in a home than a shelter environment.

We provide all you need to foster our dog; medication, food, toys, leash, collars, create, beds, etc. All you provide is  a home, guidance and love! Please consider fostering, you can apply here.

Volunteer

Volunteers are needed daily Monday through Sunday for everything from interacting with the dogs such as walks, play groups and socializing dogs to cleaning laundry, dishes and dog kennel areas. If you are interested in volunteer opportunities, please email me for more information.
